courage

The courage is great character and the one who has it will not get lost. I have figured out that Steven has it quite enough not a long time ago – at least from my perspective.

The kids ministry from our church arranged at the end of the August camp and at the total end (hole 4 days 25th – 29th of Aug. 2010) took part also for the adults. I thought that it might me interesting to pent those few days with Steven in the nature and so we went for the adventure despise my work.

Steven proved his courage every night when I was leaving our tent even he was still awake. He didn’t say anything and after few moments he slept tight.

He showed the most courage in the last night. It was intolerable freezing cold. Steven woke up around 5:30 and he asked for milk very loudly. Unfortunately it was in the nearby building. I didn’t want to go to the winter at all but because our neighbors started to wake up I resolved for an action. I told Steven to lie back to sleeping-bag and to be quiet because I was going to get the milk. I told myself that it cannot work and as soon as I am out of the tent Steven would start to cry up-loud and the whole camp is going to be awake.

But I was very surprised. Steven just said: “Yep” and became quiet. I got back to the tent five minutes later and he was still quiet. Milk tasted great and I warmed my body a little after this action and in few moments we  were sleeping again, so were our neighbors.

The camp was awesome and I am glad that I could be there with Steven, otherwise I would hardly recognize that I have courage son…
