We went on a small family celebration of the birthday of my grandmas and auntie last weekend (14th of August). I was glad that we could see our wider family after a long time, meet with the members that were new to us and spent really nice afternoon together by very good food and drink…
Stella slept almost through all of it except few moments when we took the pictures :-)
Steven impressed our relatives with his knowledge of the car brands and his ability to step by step rotate everybody presented for some game :-)
In addition it seems (according to who celebrated) that the longevity is kind of rooted in our family. One man might start to think this way for sure when the celebration of 80th birthday for both grandmas and 90th birthday for auntie takes place. But you cannot depend on it even if your gens predetermine that, because just some small thing might happen and the longevity is just for nothing.
There is one old proverb which comes to my mind in this context saying: “live every day in the way that you might not be here tomorrow but plan and dream that you might stay till one hundred years.” It has something in it… we do not know how much time is left for us so let us spend it wisely and in goo way…
